what is the best chip for a D16Y8??

RE: what is the best chip for a D16Y8??
I agree - one thing that differentiates our forum from most others is that we don't bash every n00b that
comes through with a question that we know the answer to. Let's keep it constructive or this thread will
be locked down w/ a quickness.

To the OP - as I said earlier, chips are not reliable and will not produce near the gains they claim - especially
in comparison to running a piggy back/standalone EMS. Plus, depending on what you've done to the car it might
not even be necessary for you to chip your ECU at this time...really seems unnecessary unless you're getting
inside the engine and doing work - not just installing bolt-ons (I/H/E.) My $.02

RE: what is the best chip for a D16Y8??
Like Adam and Dave said our forum is different. I personally take great pride in not being your typical forum. We don't flame new members here. We are here to help our fellow Squad members and pass along the knowledge we have gained. If you know the answer then answer it. I'm almost positive everyone on here thought about buying a chip or something similar early on in their automotive hobby that if you looked you'd would ask yourself why? If you don't have anything nice or constructive to say then keep the smart ass remarks to yourself. We were all n00bs once.

There is no such thing as a bad question.

I cried because I had no turbo, until I meet a man who had no VTEC.

the only reason i get on hoda-tech now is to read the ej8squad forum or to get some DIY info.

Just like everyone said, plus, if your stock, a chip wont do anything for you... But, like i answered before, SST chips are best and re-flashable. I have one in my ECU and im tuned with crome.

What HP and mods do you plan on doing?
