Honda CRZ Type R, not a joke.
http://www.leftlanenews.com/report-honda-considering-sportier-cr-z-type-r.html
Report: Honda considering sportier CR-Z Type R 02/19/2010, 3:43 PM By Drew Johnson Honda’s notion of a performance-minded hybrid died in 2007 when the Accord Hybrid was pulled from production, but the Japanese automaker could be considering another go at the segment. Honda is reportedly considering an up-performance version of its forthcoming CR-Z hybrid. Honda’s CR-Z hybrid is slated to hit the United States market sometime this summer but, with just 122 horsepower on tap, the two-door isn’t shaping up to be a performance machine. However, Honda could address that issue by early 2011. According to inside sources, Honda is strongly considering a Type R performance version of the CR-Z. Although the Type R nameplate has graced some of Honda’s U.S. offerings in the past, the Japanese automaker would likely stick with the Si performance nameplate currently used on the Civic. While details on the CR-Z Si remain scarce, it is reported that the sporty hybrid would get a bump to about 170 horsepower or so. An up-rated suspension would also be part of the package, as would bigger wheels and a body kit. While the standard CR-Z should arrive in Honda dealers by mid-year, the CR-Z Si isn’t expected until the first quarter of 2011 at the earliest. ![]() From CTR to STi | "Dysfunctional Veteran... leave me alone!" Reminds me of a S2K front end with a CRX rear. It looks too "plain" to me, not really sporty.

RE: Honda CRZ Type R, not a joke.
aren't hondas known for their economic fuel vehicles saving you tons of money filling up your gas tank. i dont understand why they are building hybrids. they should build us a more powerful sleek vehicle hence the type r. when are they going to move on from the si to type r in the united states.
i personally experience my poormans itr runs better, faster, saves more gas than my d16y7 lol. maybe something is wrong with my d16 n i need to rebuild it. but that is a waste because i use it to pass smog with flying colors yeeeeee. edit by: Adam SkunkdSiR ![]() EJ8SQUAD#426 |

I hope that the "Type-R" name doesn't become like Dodge/Chrysler, where they put "Hemi" on everything for it sell it better.
